Short, practical, relevant Weekly Dvar

Dearest Reader,

As I sit down to write this message, my heart is filled with gratitude and
awe for the incredible journey we've embarked upon together through "The
Weekly Dvar." What started as a simple email to a few people back in 1994,
morphed into weekly thoughts on the Parsha called The Weekly Dvar, to now a
collection of thoughts on each aliyah of every Parsha called Daily Aliyah.

These writings have always been more than just a collection of thoughts on
the weekly Parsha; it's a labor of love that has flourished, thanks to your
thoughtful responses. Each email I send out is a testament to our shared
passion for the Torah and our desire to engage with its teachings in
meaningful ways.

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the influence that Daily Giving
has had on our journey. When Jonathan Donath asked me (among others) to
help him get Daily Giving started, it inspired me to seek and ultimately
compile Torah content that can also be used to grow and improve us daily.

Thank you, dear readers, for being the most important part of this
incredible community. I wanted to share with you the following two links:

  1. Pre-order The Daily Aliyah
    https://mosaicapress.com/product/the-daily-aliyah/ and receive your hard
copy of daily practical and relevant Torah thoughts (full and pocket-size
versions will eventually be available). All proceeds will go to Daily
    Giving.
  2. Join Daily Giving https://beadailygiver.com/22016, and join a
community of givers who collectively make a HUGE impact on so many worthy
    Jewish causes.

With blessings for a healthy, prosperous, and growth-oriented new year,

Shana Tova U'metuka!
